Hey Everyone!! Welcome to my free digital stamps site! I have had a few people email me and ask the same questions so I thought it would be easier to put how this site works in one spot. I am Alison owner of freedigitalstamps. I have some amazing ladies who help me post all the freebies.. If you are a DIGITAL STAMP artist and would like us to feature your free digital stamp on this site please**freedigitalstamps@gmail.com ..your DIRECT link to the FREEBIE..

*******PLEASE if you are a digital stamp artist, it is so much easier for your followers to give you credit for your stamps if you place your "site" name after the stamp name.. IE- bird2-stretchnbubbles (this just ensures that you get credit for your work).. HUGS

*** PLEASE READ!!!

As much as we all love free digital stamps.. the purpose of this blog was to make you aware of all the amazing digital stamp artists out there..to try out their designs, and to share our love through creating and crafting.. (which I have digital stamp artist almost daily email me with links to their freebies to be posted on this blog, to help spread the word of their sites as well) as you can see when I post a link to another Digital Stamp artist "free digital stamp" I always post to their POST never to their image... even if it is at a Ning group.. my hope is that you will join in with that group if you love their art/digital stamps.. or become a faithful follower of that digital stamp artist work..

I don't know how many times I have posted in posts.. to make sure to say thank you for the digital stamp you will be taking.. and to make sure to abide by all angel policies..

As a digital stamp artist, I wanted to create a site where people could go to in one central location to find digital stamp artist alike.. try their stamps, fall in love with them just as I have..

I know that there are TONS to many to count.. of people who post the SAME links/information on their blogs.. each and every link... I just wanted to put them all in one spot so it saved time to finding all the amazing artist out there..

As many of you know my husband lost his full time job.. as much as I would love to go and spend $$ on these ladies sites.. (which before his job loss.. I have purchased numerous digital stamps) I have to say that it is nice to get a freebie every once in a while to have a new digital stamp to play with..
When my husband finds another good job.. will I be PURCHASING more of these talented ladies digital stamps.. ABSOLUTELY.. I respect their work and love their designs.. (hence buying their stamps)...right now it's just not in my funds to do so.. we are struggling just to get by week by week..

I am sorry if I have offended anyone in this post and in creating this blog.. it was not meant to hurt/offend anyone.. I do want to say thank you to the person who emailed me with their concerns.. I really appreciate you coming to me personally.. I was able to address your concerns and clear up the misunderstanding..

I hope you all now know the reason behind this blog and also the reason why the Sarah Kay image links will be taken off this site.. :)

I really never thought I was doing anything wrong posting links to these digital stamps that people were/are offering as freebies..Again.. I have had many artist ask me to put them on this site.. to get exposure..and have thanked me because their business has increased.. and so has their following.. I will now be contacting the people/artists that I link to, to ask if it is okay to post their links to this blog when they have a freebie.. It is not my intention to do anything wrong and would never want to hurt anyone or anyones business.. thanks for understanding.. HUGS

  2. I would like to say that I probably would not have found half of these companies had it not been for this blog. I think it is an asset to anyone's digi business to have their links on here, as it gives us more exposure to what is out there. I want to thank you for the time that you have put into this site and to let you know that you aren't alone in your struggles, my husband has been out of work for over 2 years. It hasn't been easy, but we are still plugging alone. Thank you again.

  3. I don't think you are doing anything wrong. I have found a few artists that were new to me and that has lead me to purchase some images from them. Thank you for the time and effort you put into keeping up this site.

  6. I love what you do there is no way I would have half the images I do without your word of mouth and you are helping designers also sorry that 1 person had to make you feel like you were not doing the right thing but you are making traffic for these designers and I am sure 99% are thrilled with the extra traffic.

  7. Meant to ask: Why were the Sarah Kay links removed? I have some of the rubber stamp Sarah Kays and just love them and the free colouring pages are fab. Can we still use these links for the free colouring pages? I know they are not on this site any longer but are they legal?

  10. I agree with the above. I'm sorry if you were made to believe you were doing something wrong. I wouldn't have found these sites without your postings either. I would think they'd get lots of business! I always link back when I use freebies (or purchased ones for that matter!).

    Thanks for your wonderful blog!

  11. So what's wrong with spreading the word about freebies! Doesn't that drive traffic to a site? Isn't that the whole purpose of blogging and marketing and sales 101? Huge Loss for Sarah Kay! I will not purchase or talk about their products again! Thanks for doing what a blogger does - spreads the love of the craft!

  12. I guess it's still unclear to me why there is a problem. I have added many of the sites you list to my favorites and will be checking them regularly for new products and freebies. I really admire you for putting in all the time to compile this. I can only thoroughly search one site a day that you have listed, there is such a wealth of information, and I would never have found any of it if not for you. This site really is a great resource. I appreciate the steps you are taking to be more sensitive to the artists, but in the end, I think it is ultimately to their advantage to be chosen for your site. I'm behind you all the way.

  13. I would like to thank you for your wonderful site. If it wasn't for your blog I never would have found all of these wonderful companies that offer digital stamps. I never knew there were so many out there. I really appreciate everything that you are doing and I'm sure that the companies are enjoying the free promotions on your behalf. :)

  14. Your are absolutely right... and I thank you for doing all of this hard work in getting this site together....What I do.....I will get them ONLY....if I am playing in their challenge.....I don't think it's right to take and not play.....

  15. Like the rest I would like to say that I too wouldn't have known about a lot of the digi artist that I found threw your site. In the past I've posted links to free digis that I used in my cards and didn't think I was doing anything wrong. I've come to buy things from some of the sites because of the links here. Don't feel bad, we feel you didn't do anything wrong and I will continue to support your site and all the digi artist you link to.

  16. What can I add that the others haven't already said? This is a fantastic site, and I've proudly displayed the link to this site on my blog. I know some of my friends have come here, and I know a couple of them have gone on to purchase digi stamps from the artists that were featured here. Like many of the others, I, too would never have known about some of the work out there if not for this blog. Thank you for all you do - and I'm sure I speak for a lot of others when I say this: When I find a really cute free image, I explore that company's other images. Sometimes this leads to a sale...sometimes it leads to me becoming a faithful customer.

I'm sorry you were made to feel as though you had done something wrong.

  17. Just wanted to thank you for all you do and how much I appreciate your time putting all the links together and sharing with us.
Sending positive thoughts sweetie! and a big hug

  18. not sure I can add much as so much has been said already that I agree with... but I do want to add that I wouldn't have found a fraction of the artists you have featured here and not spent nearly as much money!

  19. I personally thank you very much for the site! It's how I found bugaboo stamps!! Which I love...and have bought some already! :) So yes sales happen when someone like yourself can lead us "newbies" in the right direction. And if I don't like a "freebie" stamp/creation I pass on it...I don't take them all just to have them....everyone has certain taste :)
    Chin up!! :)

  20. Hey Alison: Wow. One would think that FREE advertising and the direction of customers to purchase at sites would be pleasing. I guess the same can now be said for directing people to blogs that are offering blog candy competitions? Do we need their permission first too?

I agree with you wholeheartedly - saying THANK YOU for something you appreciat is the DECENT thing to do - its manners! Sometimes I have been called away and not left a message for one image, but have always endeavoured to return to pay homage at a later date.

Understandably if people want links removed from the site, it isn't a problem, but more a shame that people who visit here will then not know to visit elsewhere as well.

Although I am certain I have only posted links to free colouring page sites, I am still relying on that site owner that the items are free colouring pages. If there are ANY links that I have posted that breach or upset anyone, please let me know so that I can at least apologise to them directly.

You are a gem, and I still believe that what you and this site is doing is still GOOD and wholesome.

  21. Hi Alison, I agree with everything said above. I too have found new artists from your links and gone on to purchase theirs digis. Thank you for your time and efforts, and hope you will not be discouraged from continuing your wonderful site.

  22. hi Allison,
I don't understand why the Sarah Kay link is being taken off. I am currantly using her coloring pages and they are wonderful images. Am I doing something wrong? Should I stop using them. Please let me know that I should do.
I love your site! I am not in a position currently to buy the digi images, so getting them free is a godsend. I am retired and my darling hubby isn't making good hours anymore, so your site is so very helpful.
I hope things improve soon on your end, thanks for all the hard work you do on your site for all of us who love to create!
    hugs, Valerie

  23. I am like the rest I don't think you are doing anything wrong if it wasn't for you I wouldn't have found these other co. I hope you pat yourself on the back and give yourself a big hug because I sure would if I could. I hope you keep up all the great work you have been doing from someone who appreciates it. Thanks ever so much Gloria M.

  24. Wow who would turndown free advertising? If their giving it away anyway your site has only been improving the results of giving freebies... Some people just don't make sense. You've lead me to artist I would otherwise never have found. Thanks for you hard work and time!!!!

  25. Hi Alison, I'm so sorry you are upset over this. I cannot believe anyone would complain about you giving them free advertising!!!
I agree with all that is said above, you have helped so many people find new digi sites, and the site owners should all be thanking you for the time and work you put into promoting their sites.
Well done you hunny, as you will see from all these comments you are very much appreciated

  26. I didn't read through all of the comments, but I did get an understanding that you have a lot of support. You had emailed my DT Coord tonight asking for permission and I came here to see what this site was about. I am very impressed with your thought process on this and how you have the artist in mind. I don't mind you posting free Sew Many Cards images the way you say you will be doing.

I know that unfortunately there are people that do post freebies when in fact they shouldn't be freebies so I appreciate that you are linking to the post and are taking feedback seriously. I will whole heartedly support you and your site- I think you are doing a great job!

  27. Dear Alison,

I'm so sorry to hear that there was a misunderstanding regarding your site. Particularly since you are a digi artist yourself, I was so surprised to read your post today.

I know just how much time and effort goes into researching and posting and building a fab site like yours, and I, like the others here, SO appreciate your efforts. I too have discovered and connected to several artists and designers I may have never found on my own and am looking forward not only to potentially using their designs on my future projects, but getting to know them and hopefully building friendships with them over time!

I too carry a link to your site on my blog because I consider it a fabulous resource, and have just added your badge as well!

    Hugs

  29. Goodness! I didn't think you were doing anything wrong. I mean these are truly freebies and I think it is good publicity. I think it does encourage people to buy stamps. I am just starting to design digital stamps myself and hope to get a freebie for you post here sometime too. So I thank you for taking the time to do this site! I truly appreciate it as I'm sure many others do! One big hug coming your way! THANK YOU!

  30. Sorry, I don't see what the big deal is. If they don't want to give them away then don't advertise them for FREE. It's really a 'no brainer'!

  31. I just wanted to add that i love your site and I appreciate the work you put in to it. Don't let one mishap destroy your original thought.

  32. I think you are doing a fabulous job! You have nothing to be sorry for. I have found so many artist that I enjoy because of your site. Yes, like anyone I like the freebies. But I have also purchased tons of their work as well. They should be thankful you are giving them exposure. Smile! :-)

Its been fab for me as like you my husband is out of work (my son is too) so I really appreciate how much effort you put into this blog. You are doing an amazing job and giving people free advertising. I have bought digis from sites I never heard of until I found your blog.
So sorry this has been so upsetting for you, I hope it doesn't put you off

  34. Hi, I agree wit many comments here. You are doing a great job and I have found and fell in love with digital stamps thanks to your efforts. So keep up the good work. And I really hope that your husband finds a job soon.

  35. Hi Alison,
I just thought I would add my support to the rest of the above. Since you have started this site I have had lots of new people come over to see my blog. All my graphics are free to download, but I can imagine that if I did sell, I would welcome any and all publicity driving traffic to my site.

If someone does come along and not want you to advertise their site then take it off, don't worry about it. You have enough wonderful sites for people to visit, that are very happy for you to advertise them.

    Hugs Janie..xx

  41. I am 100% grateful to your blog, your site, and the visitors I get because of it.
I thought we made cards to avoid drama, right?

Thank you to all the new followers to my blog because of this site too! I think I have 30 new followers now! WOW!

I feel if you don't want to be "out" in the blog world, you shouldn't have a blog.

I do think that people should say hey thanks when they pop in for the freebies too! I get 260 visitors on Freebie day and sometimes only 2 or 3 comments and these are from my friends!!!

  42. I used this site and that was how I found Mo and Phindy I purchased images... the problem arises when OTHER PEOPLE put copyrighted images on their sites. But a bit of common sense does not go amiss.... when I found sarah kay and Simpsons etc linked from here, did I believe they had given permission for the images to be used or that that the site owner had paid for usage - frankly, no.
I am a single mum of 2 and I buy about three images a month, I make savings to allow myself this & I welcome freebies from designers who do so to drive their site and sales traffic.
It seems blog readers are hiding behind - I didn't know... and I think we usually do.

  43. Last year 2009- I spent over $4000.00 buying digis. If you think
Im kidding check out my pay pal bill. I appreciate the free images that people give out, what I appreciate more is that they are in one spot. I can come here find new companies, get some from places I have spent $$$ on. It is hard work what you do. I have stet up files to go to my favorite places and get the freebies and purchase some as well. I think after spending 4K on digis we should get some free. Thanks for all you do and thanks to thoses companies who like to share.
